Christian Academy of Louisville (Ky.) quarterback Cole Hodge is coming off a strong junior season, throwing for 2,949 yards (73%) for 48 touchdowns and just four interceptions while rushing for 711 yards and nine touchdowns.

Central Michigan, East Carolina, Ball State, UAB, Appalachian State, Liberty, and Arkansas State are all making a strong summer push for the three-star prospect.

Hodge has been busy this month, coming off an official visit with Central Michigan last weekend, an unofficial with Arkansas State earlier this week, and will embark on an official with East Carolina this weekend.

He breaks down those visits with Rivals.com.

ON CENTRAL MICHIGAN: “It went well. Coach (Jim) McElwain is a great coach and has a great background. I think he’s building that program up really well. I love Jake Kostner, the quarterbacks coach there and Paul Petrino, their offensive coordinator. So, obviously they have a great staff and I have a great relationship with them. That was cool just to see the facilities again and be able to continue building a relationship with them.”

ON ARKANSAS STATE: “I went there recently and was there the whole day. Butch Jones sat me in his office and said I’m the No. 1 guy on their board. Obviously, setting in his office and talking to him with his resume was really cool and just hearing what he had to say was awesome.”

ON EAST CAROLINA: “The coaching staff really likes me. They’ve told me I’m their No. 1 guy and that hasn’t changed throughout their whole recruiting process. Coach (Donnie) Kirkpatrick, their offensive coordinator helped coach Chris Redman (former Louisville quarterback), my current offensive coordinator in high school, during his college career. So, he’s told me a lot about Coach Kirkpatrick and how good he is.”

ON WHAT COACHES LIKE ABOUT HIS SKILLSET: “They all say they like my running ability. They like that I’m a dual-threat. They also like my accuracy and my intangibles.”
