Travel management company Reed & Mackay has acquired one of its long-time partners, Spanish corporate travel, meeting and events company Atlanta Agencia de Viajes, further boosting parent company TripActions’ European expansion, the company announced.

The company, which does business as Atlanta Events & Corporate Travel Consultants, employs more than 70 business travel and event specialists and has offices in Andalucía, Barcelona and Madrid. It has been part of Reed & Mackay’s global partnership for more than 10 years, but with the acquisition, it will be better able to serve global clients, while Reed & Mackay will gain local expertise for client needs in Spain, according to Reed & Mackay CEO Fred Stratford. Additionally, “its values also closely align with Reed & Mackay’s uncompromising focus on high-touch service,” Stratford said in a statement.

Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

The acquisition is the fourth by the TripActions Group of a Europe-based TMC during the past 18 months, starting with Reed & Mackay itself, which continues to operate as a standalone brand. TripActions noted that Reed & Mackay’s employee base for meetings and events has quintupled year over year to meet current demand.

This year, the group also acquired both Swedish TMC Resia and Berlin-based TMC Comtravo.
