“We’re definitely seeing higher volume and lower quality, which means it is harder to sift through,” said Khyati Sundaram, chief executive of Applied, a recruitment platform. “A candidate can copy and paste any application question into ChatGPT, and then can copy and paste that back into that application form.”

As Techspot points out, large employers, such as the Big Four accountants, have strongly opposed the use of AI in job applications, warning graduates of the consequences of relying on these tools.
