Reaching New Heights – Philadelphia Sports Nation

[ad_1]

Like Their NFL Careers, the Kelce Brothers Podcast Has Reached New Heights.

This month, inside the Nova Care Complex Auditorium — an emotional Jason Kelce stepped to the podium to announce his retirement.

You might think that it was the most important oration that he had ever given. You’d be wrong.

The speech that he gave to packed crowds of Eagles fans outside of the Art Museum will go down as one of the best moments in Eagles history.

Even though it was off of the field.

Kelce’s NFL game may seem to be over, but his popular podcast continues.

New Heights, the weekly podcast that is hosted by both he and brother Travis Kelce, began in Fall of 2022 and this week became the 2024 iHeartradio Podcast of the Year. The podcast has interviews and covers both the lives and NFL careers of both players.

Jason’s brother Travis — who plays Tight End for the Kansas City Chiefs — has had an equally impressive NFL career. His statistics — a 3× Super Bowl champion (LIV, LVII, LVIII,) a 4× First-team All-Pro (2016, 2018, 2020, 2022) 3× Second-team All-Pro (2017, 2019, 2021,) and a 9× Pro Bowl (20152023,) NFL 2010s All-Decade Team — place him among the top tight ends in NFL history.

Jason — who over a thirteen-year NFL career that included seven-time Pro Bowl selection, and six-time first-team All-Pro — will now have plenty of time to concentrate on the podcast.

This week, both Kelce brothers credited Taylor Swift fans for the success of the podcast.

For Travis Kelce, another season of being a rising star as a podcast host is diminished only by the prospect of another grueling NFL Season.

For Jason — who tearfully said goodbye to the Eagles last week — this new medium could be his next permanent calling.
