Discussions happen all the time about whether or not players in other professional sports leagues can play in the National Football League. We’ve seen players play in both the NFL and MLB with Deion Sanders and Bo Jackson splitting time, but only three people has ever been drafted in both the NFL and NBA drafts.

Bud Grant, Dave Winfield and Dave Logan.

It also makes the discussions surrounding whether players can play in sports leagues really interesting. NBA point guard Austin Rivers had some comments about that, claiming 30 players could play in the NFL but the reverse wasn’t true.

Former Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Randy Moss came away shocked by it, and for good reason.

If anyone would know about the intricacies with the two sports, it’s Moss. He was a all-state basketball player on the same team with former NBA player Jason Williams, also known as “White Chocolate.” There are some incredible athletes in the NFL but the size of the NBA players would potentially give them an excellent advantage.

Imagine if LeBron James played tight end in the league. Can’t say the same excitement would be had with Trent Williams at power forward.
