There’s a Winter Storm Warning in place for the Oregon Cascades and a Winter Weather Advisory for Coast Range until early Tuesday morning.
PORTLAND, Oregon — Rain is set to arrive to the Willamette Valley early this afternoon bringing between 0.10″-0.25″ of rain by the end of the day. This next weather system will also bring strong winds and mountain snow.
There’s a Wind Advisory for parts of the Columbia River Basin from 3pm Sunday until 3pm Monday. Sustained winds will range between 25-35 MPH with gusts reaching 55 MPH.
Look for heavy snow above 2,000 feet in the Cascades, where a Winter Storm Watch is up from Sunday afternoon until Tuesday morning for up to 2 feet of snow. The Coast Range is under a Winter Weather Advisory above 1,500 feet Sunday night into early Tuesday morning. Accumulations will range from 8-10 inches.
The rest of the work week will be cold and rainy. Daytime highs will stay in the mid 40s all week long with near 50 degrees Wednesday.
