Purple Ocean Superfood Bar: All Natural, Organic, Superfood Bar

[ad_1]

This past week in Orlando I tried Purple Ocean Superfood Bar for the first time and it was EPIC! Josiah, the owner is from Puerto Rico and created Purple Ocean Superfood Bar in order to not only bring home a little closer but also to promote well-being through healthy eating. Purple Ocean not only brings the Caribbean feel of Puerto Rico to Orlando but is a healthy option for locals as well.Purple Ocean is mostly vegan (except honey), they use 80% organic products, and have gluten-free options. They serve the most amazing acai bowls I have ever seen – they come in a pineapple shell! Each acai bowl is named after a surf  break in Puerto Rico – how cool! The bowls taste as good as they look! Purple Ocean also serves 3 different plant-based burgers, fries, and a variety of smoothie and drink options.I tried both the Roasted Garlic Quinoa burger and a Beyond Meat burger. Beyond meat is definitely a major upgrade for other plant-based meat options on the market. It’s super tasty and if you are wanting to have a “burger” every once in a while this is a great plant-based option. However, their quinoa burger would be my choice if something like this is available. It is made in house and comes with vegan cheese, lettuce, tomato, sautéed onions, avocado, and you can ask for a gluten-free bun. All of their burgers are cooked in avocado oil.

For acai we tried the Survivor Bowl. It’s loaded with all kinds of fruits and you can get superfood toppings added, we also had the Tres Palmas bowl which comes with granola, banana, pineapple, mango, and coconut oil. Everything was amazing!

I cannot recommend this place enough if you are looking for a healthy place to eat in Orlando! Purple Oceans is the spot since they have both sweet and savory – something for everyone. Plus the decor is so tropical and makes you feel like you’re in Puerto Rico. Give them a try next time you’re in Orlando, they have 3 locations, one brick + mortar, and the other two are permanent food trucks, how fun!
