When: 6:30pm Eastern
Where: Thomas & Mack Center; Las Vegas, NV
How to watch: ESPNU, ESPN+
The summer league has come and (almost) gone in the blink of an eye. We’ve reached the end of the road for one of the most entertaining Hornets summer league teams in at least the last several seasons. They wrap up their summer league slate against the surprisingly good Brooklyn Nets.
Despite shifting their focus to rebuilding, the Nets didn’t have a single pick in the 2024 NBA Draft. That’s what you get for trading for James Harden to try to build a super team. Last year’s draft picks Jalen Wilson and Noah Clowney have been the team’s best players along with former Clippers first round pick and five star recruit Keon Johnson.
The Nets have capitalized on having a team with more experience than the average summer league squad, and many of that has been together within the Nets organization. It should be a competitive game between two of the better teams in the Las Vegas Summer League, and it’ll be the last Hornets basketball we get until October.
