Powerball jackpot climbs to $521 million on Saturday

DORCHESTER, Mass. (WWLP) – The Powerball jackpot for Saturday’s drawing has reached an estimated $521 million.

According to the Massachusetts Lottery, the cast option for Saturday’s drawing will be $249.6 million. Saturday’s Powerball drawing will be the 29th since the jackpot was last hit on January 1, when a ticket sold in Michigan won an $842.4 million jackpot.

Powerball tickets are $2 and can be purchased until 9:50 p.m. on Saturday. Drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. in Tallahassee, Flordia.

The Megabucks jackpot for Saturday’s drawing will be an estimated $2.9 million ($2.01 million cash option). Tickets are $2 each and can only be purchased in Massachusetts until 9 p.m. Megabucks drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 9 p.m.
