Russia withdraws, likely planning a counterattack to prevent Ukraine from reclaiming Kherson:
-Russian soldiers, patrols and checkpoints have suddenly disappeared in the city center for the most part and most Russian civilians have left.
-The Russian flag was taken down from official administrative sites (not clear by who)
-Kremlin-appointed administrators have relocated to a site 50 miles away — after looting anything of value they could take, residents and Ukrainian officials said.
-Russian troops have not decamped from the area
-Ukrainian military intelligence says Russia has deployed some 40,000 soldiers to the western bank of the Dnipro River to stop the Ukrainian military from reclaiming Kherson.
-Vladimir Putin said on Friday that civilians in the Ukrainian region of Kherson must be removed from the conflict zone, state-owned news agency RIA reported.
