Police officer hospitalized after being shot at northwest Houston apartment complex, HPD says

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — A Houston Police Department officer was injured after shots were fired in northwest Houston, according to investigators.

The department told Eyewitness News that officers responded to a call at an apartment complex at Hollister Street near U.S. 290 at about 8 p.m. on Monday.

Authorities said a suspect was detained after an officer was shot. Police said the officer was taken to Memorial Hermann and is stable.

It’s unclear what led to the shooting, and no further details were immediately provided.
