An 18-year-old Philadelphia woman who went missing five days before her high school graduation is the subject of a missing person’s investigation, police said.

Shalaya Porter’s family last saw her on June 5, according to Philadelphia police.

She had been preparing to start her freshman year at Morgan State University in the fall, according to ABC 6.

Porter’s mother, grandmother and aunts gathered outside her high school this week handing out flyers, ABC 6 reported. A Motivational High School teacher also joined her family in bringing attention to her disappearance. They said it’s unusual that Porter disappeared without her cell phone and missed her graduation.
