Pedestrian dies after North Portland semi-truck crash

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A pedestrian was killed Thursday morning after being hit by a semi-truck in North Portland, authorities said.

According to Portland police, officers responded to the 300 block of North Columbia Boulevard just before 10 a.m. where they found the pedestrian who had been hit.

The man was taken to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead, officials said.

The truck driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with police.
