Package at Wake County Board of Elections office deemed not suspicious

A package discovered Tuesday afternoon at the Wake County Board of Elections office was later determined to not be a threat.
Before 2 p.m., law enforcement and hazardous materials teams responded to a report of a suspicious package at the office at 1200 N. New Hope Road in Raleigh.
Sky 5 flew over the building, where a hazardous materials truck was parked outside.
The Raleigh Fire Department later confirmed the package was not a threat. There were no evacuations ordered.
Limited details were available. WRAL News has asked what was inside the package and why it was considered suspicious.
