PA Turnpike warns drivers of a text messaging scam

The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission is warning drivers about a text messaging scam.

The scam is targeting people to provide their personal financial information. The message claims there is an unpaid toll invoice and directs users to follow the link at the bottom.

The PA Turnpike Commission said people who get an unsolicited text, email, or similar message suggesting it is from the PA Turnpike or another toll agency should not click on the link.

The agency said to visit the PA Turnpike E-ZPass website or the PA Toll Pay app instead.
