New Wilton eatery serving up pizza and more

WILTON, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Brian Brumley has been working to open his new venture, Rustic Pizza & Eats, for over a year. The eatery finally had its soft opening in July.
Brumley owns Olde Saratoga Miniature Golf at 556 Maple Avenue in Wilton. Rustic Pizza & Eats is in the building in front of the mini-golf course. The building used to house Saratoga Wine & Spirits and was several different restaurants before that.
For the pizza, Brumley uses his family’s recipe. His grandfather started Crystal Bar in Amsterdam in the 1940s and it was a staple in the community for 70 years. Brumley said the restaurant won best pizza in the northeast for several years in the 80s and 90s.
“Business has been good,” said Brumley. “We’re getting amazing feedback from our pizza.”
The Rustic Pizza & Eats menu features specialty and build-you-own pizzas, wings, tacos, fries, sandwiches, salads, and an all-day breakfast sandwich. Brumley said they’ll be adding soups and more sandwiches and specialty pizzas to the fall menu.
The restaurant is currently open for dinner Wednesday though Sunday, as well as for lunch on Saturday and Sunday. Brumley is hoping to expand the fall hours to include lunch Wednesday through Friday.
Rustic Pizza & Eats is planning to have a Halloween-themed grand opening in the next few weeks. Olde Saratoga Miniature Golf will also have Halloween-themed mini-golf this fall and will be closing in late October if the weather cooperates, said Brumley.
