New listings rise 21% in latest HAR weekly snapshot  – Houston Agent Magazine

New listings in Houston jumped 21% year over year in the week ended Aug. 19, according to the Weekly Activity Snapshot from the Houston Association of REALTORS® (HAR).  

Realtors added 3,532 properties to the MLS, up from 2,918 properties during the same week in 2023. Pending listings rose 2.2% to 2,112.  

Closed home sales fell 13% year over year, sliding to 1,434 from 1,649 a year earlier.  

Listing views on HAR.com fell 11.8% to 7,637,858, while showings continued to trail 2023 volumes, sliding 6.3% from a year earlier to 35,237.
