NC State Fair and Sabrina Carpenter concert create congestion chaos in Raleigh
[ad_1]
Even if you’re not planning to attend the NC State Fair or the Sabrina Carpenter concert Saturday, you’re still likely to get caught in the traffic.
A state trooper is directing traffic at the intersection of Edwards Mill and Wake Park Boulevard.
Long lines are forming from every direction—people leaving the fair, those arriving, and others heading to the Lenovo Center for the Sabrina Carpenter concert.
With concert doors just opening, congestion is heavy.
People are parking miles away and taking long walks to reach these events.
For some, commute times have more than doubled.
“It was just constant redirection. We’d be in one lane, then it would change, and we’d have to turn around, “Hannah Young, event-goer, said.
“It’s two massive events happening at once, so I don’t even want to know what getting an Uber tonight will be like. Surge prices must be crazy. I can’t imagine,” Liza Thorell, another event-goer, said.
If you’re heading to either event, be sure to allow plenty of time for travel.
Parking near the State Fair is expensive, so it’ll be easier for everyone if you can carpool or get dropped off.
