The Nassau County Bar Association has recognized Schwartz Sladkus Reich Greenberg Atlas, a law firm with offices in New York City, Boca Raton and Long Island, as a leading provider of pro bono services in Nassau.

The NCBA’s Access to Justice Committee, in collaboration with Nassau Suffolk Law Services and The Safe Center LI, honored SSRGA and a partner at the firm, Dina De Giorgio, who provides legal services to underserved members of the community going through divorce and custody proceedings.

De Giorgio practices in Matrimonial, Family and Reproductive Law in the firm’s Nassau County office. As an attorney and mediator with over 30 years of experience, she works on all aspects of hearings and trials and acts as a tenacious advocate for clients in both mediations and litigation.

“Clients who cannot afford quality representation during divorce or custody proceedings are at risk of sacrificing their financial wellbeing and independence,” De Giorgio said in a statement. “This is especially true for women and their children, which is why our firm’s pro bono work is critical for these underserved members of our community.”

The firm will also collaborate with Safe Center and Nassau Suffolk Law Services to provide individuals and families access to legal services. In addition to actively encouraging its attorneys to provide pro-bono services to community organizations, SSRGA encourages community service through volunteering as court mediators and small claims court arbitrators or mentoring law school students.
