Multiple arrests made in Granville County cockfighting ring bust

Granville County Sheriff’s deputies arrested multiple individuals Saturday afternoon after discovering a cockfighting operation on a Feedoo Drive property.

Authorities performed a search warrant on the property and found an arena set up for the fights.

In addition to the cockfighting operation, deputies found buckets containing dead chickens, along with guns and drugs.

Approximately 50 vehicles were also removed from the property.

Individuals from several states were at the scene placing bets on different fights, when the raid took place.

The investigation is still ongoing as deputies continue to search the property.
