CHICAGO — A motorcyclist is dead after a crash on the city’s Southwest Side on Sunday afternoon.

According to Chicago police, the crash unfolded just before 7:30 p.m. in the 5500 block of South Pulaski Road in West Elsdon.

Officers say the motorcyclist, a 46-year-old man, was headed northbound along Pulaski Road when a driver, who was turning left, collided with him.

The man was badly injured and was taken to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Officers say nobody else was injured in the crash, but the driver of the other vehicle involved received a citation.

Authorities have not yet identified the victim killed and an investigation by CPD’s Major Accidents unit is now underway.
