Mother of young boy who shot teacher gets 2-year prison sentence

The mother of a 6-year-old boy who shot and wounded his first-grade teacher earlier this year with a handgun in the classroom of an elementary school in Newport News, Virginia, was sentenced to two-years in state prison for felony child neglect. Last month, she was sentenced to 21 months in prison on separate federal charges.
