Discussion:
Waking up to some patchy dense fog and ongoing showers and storms. An upper level disturbance will keep the forecast active over the next few days. Expect temps to climb into the upper 80s this afternoon with scattered to numerous showers and storms. The severe threat is limited, but a few strong storms are possible with damaging wind and localized flooding the biggest threats. A deep upper level low will trigger even more rounds of rain and storms. We will need to look out for clusters of storms. This is where we could find an isolated severe threat with damaging wind and hail the biggest concerns. A cold front arrives Thursday. Ahead of this front will be where the largest severe threat of the week lies. The environment will become more unstable with increasing instability as temps warm into the upper 80s and moisture continues to flood into the region, we will need to watch for potential supercells that will be capable of large hail, damaging wind and a tornado, or two. Drier air arrives just in time for the weekend. Temps will remain warm in the mid to upper 80s, but storm chances will be limited and humidity will drop. Our next round of storms arrives early next week.
