MLS and Avant Release Co-Branded Credit Card
Over a year ago, Major League Soccer (MLS) and Avant announced a multi-year partnership. The agreement designated Avant, a credit-first neobank, as the Official Credit Card Partner of MLS that would eventually create a credit card for soccer fans.
Today the MLS Forward Credit Card has been revealed and you can apply and choose one of 23 design.
Cardmembers will have access to benefits including 5X rewards at MLSstore.com, 3X on gas, 2X on dining and grocery and 1X on all other eligible purchases. However, you are limited to only 6,000 Extra Points in a calendar year. After that, all purchases earn just 1X point. As a welcome bonus, you will get 5,000 points after you spend $1,000 in the first 90 days.
Rewards are redeemable for cash back, MLS tickets and MLSstore.com gift cards. They will also get exclusive pre-sale ticket access and expedited entrance to MLS special events and 15 percent off MLSstore.com merchandise. Cardmembers can select from two MLS credit card designs, or a branded design from 21 MLS clubs located in the U.S. The card has no annual fee.
