On Friday, Media Bias Fact Check (MBFC) reviewed the Minnesota Citizens Concerned for Life (MCCL), a pro-life advocacy organization. The MCCL was found to have a right-leaning bias and mixed factual reporting.
The MCCL, funded by donations, membership fees, and fundraising events, endorses and supports candidates through its PACs to influence abortion-related policies. MBFC’s analysis revealed that the MCCL’s website uses loaded language reflecting a conservative perspective, with a clear bias towards pro-life causes.
A recent TV ad campaign by MCCL against a proposed Minnesota abortion ballot initiative was found to be misleading by MBFC. The organization’s political affiliation is predominantly conservative.
In conclusion, MBFC rates the MCCL as right-biased and mixed for factual reporting. The review was conducted by M. Huitsing on May 24, 2024.
