Man dies after stabbing at sports bar in Cumberland County

A man was stabbed at a sports bar Wednesday in Cumberland County.

At 12:11 a.m., the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to Pyrates Sports Bar at 651 W. Manchester Road in Spring Lake for a stabbing.

When deputies arrived, they found a man who had been stabbed. The victim was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, where he died.

The sheriff’s office said the offender has been identified and is cooperating with the investigation.

The homicide investigation is underway.
