Man accused of shooting stepfather in Lockeford wanted by police

A man is wanted by police after a shooting during a domestic incident in Lockeford on Tuesday, according to the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office.Deputies responded to the 19000 block of N. Jack Tone Road around 9 p.m.Officials said a man was shot in his abdomen. They identified the man who shot him as his stepson, 24-year-old Brendan Stiles Briggs.The sheriff’s office said Briggs was last seen wearing a red hoodie, black pants and carrying a red Adidas backpack. He is possibly riding a black and white Huffy bicycle.Officials said Briggs is wanted for attempted murder and new gun charges.
