Making your own self-rising flour is simple! Did you ever get ready to make a recipe that calls for self-rising flour to find that you don’t have any on hand?  I know how aggravating that can be, but there is a very easy fix.

WHAT IS SELF-RISING FLOUR?

Self-rising flour is just three simple ingredients. It’s all-purpose flour with baking powder and salt. Basically, it is a flour that already has the leveling agent included in it.

This flour is used in several recipes that don’t already have a leveling agent included. Many bakers are known to use this flour for biscuits, gravy, dumplings, etc. Over the years we have received comments from our readers that many don’t keep this type of flour stocked in their pantries. No worries, here is a simple and easy fix. It takes very little effort to make your own! Scroll down for the full printable recipe.
