Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson hospitalized for burns, campaign says

RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson has been hospitalized, a source close to his campaign confirmed.
Robinson, the Republican nominee for North Carolina governor, was hospitalized following an incident at a campaign event at Mount Airy, the source told CBS 17.
Mike Lonegran, the communications director for Robinson’s campaign, issued the following statement:
“This evening following an incident at a campaign appearance at the Mayberry Truck Show in Mount Airy, Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson was treated at Northern Regional Hospital for second-degree burns. He is in good spirits, appreciates the outpouring of well wishes, and is excited to return to the campaign trail as scheduled first thing tomorrow morning.”
