RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) — Strong storms are moving into Central NC late Sunday evening prompting warnings across the area.
A cluster of storms hit the mountains late afternoon and early evening. Severe storms are possible in some areas between 9 pm to 1 a.m.
A severe thunderstorm warning was issued for Johnston, Wayne, and Wilson counties until 12:45 a.m.
Areas in the Triangle including in Fuqauy have reported trees down and power outages as severe storms moved through overnight.
Monday has a level 2 risk for severe weather, mainly in the evening. Gusty winds and large hail could be possible with the storms.

Looking Ahead
It looks like the humidity drops and cooler temperatures during the week.
Saturday is sunny and seasonable, while Sunday brings more clouds with a slight risk of showers and storms.
