We are called to leave our comfort zone, leave the soft surroundings of our home, and to take on a bold journey to new places in search of adventure, new experiences, connection and joy.

As this year draws to a close, and as we enter another festive season, we celebrate adventure in many different forms. We celebrate it in our storytelling – in the way we are able to explore the sequences and events that unfold around us here at Londolozi. Through our storytelling, we always try to find new ways to transport the wilderness to you and make it feel like you are here. Our weekly virtual safaris have become a much-loved portal for us to bring incredible sightings and animal encounters to your home, taking you on a weekly virtual adventure no matter where you are in the world.

There’s no time to be bored in a world as beautiful as this

We took on a challenge at the beginning of 2023 as we embarked on an adventure into the exploration of what Londolozi really means to our global family. We have taken great joy in learning what each of your #TheLondoloziEffect definitions have been and couldn’t help but share as many of them as we could as they mirrored back what we always hope our guests will feel when they come home to Londolozi to visit. This adventure into the true meaning of the unseen frequency of Londolozi has helped us to understand and celebrate the many chapters of this nearly 100-year-old campfire story as we march closer to our centenary year in 2026.

Each ranger’s daily adventures into the bush continue to highlight countless moments caught on film, giving you a unique opportunity to see the wilderness through the eyes of so many diverse guides, staff, and photographers with the weekly, beloved, Week in Pictures roundup.

We explored beauty in so many ways. In expression. In writing. In photography. And in song… as we were serenaded around a fire in the middle of a vast landscape.

We took on a bold challenge as we embarked on a journey to refurbish Founders Camp – one of Londolozi’s signature grand dame camps – holding onto the essence of the spirit of safari from the very early days of Londolozi but allowing this camp to feel refreshed with a brand new modern feeling… something that our guests who have visited this year have so enjoyed.

We have furthered our joint African adventure into creating positive ripple effects in our surrounding communities through the Londolozi Ripple Fund – something that so many of you have supported and celebrated with us this year. Our annual Giving November campaign is always a humbling opportunity to realize how kind, caring, and generous our Londolozi Family truly is.

And, of course, our daily adventures into the wilderness on each morning and evening safari have, time and time again, reconnected people to nature, to their wild selves, and to each other – providing invaluable opportunities for families to reconnect in a vast landscape and for individuals to reconnect with their purpose and the quiet force for good inside of each of them. It is so rewarding, as the Londolozi Family, to provide a space and a place for this to happen – something that we never take for granted at this time of year.

This Festive Season, along with The Varty Family and our Londolozi Family here in the bush, we wish every one of you time and space to reflect on how your life has been a wild adventure this year.
