Keyshawn Davis Suspended 90 Days for Positive Marijuana Test – Medical Marijuana Program Connection

[ad_1]

Keyshawn Davis has tested positive for marijuana, and has been suspended 90 days by the Texas Boxing Commission, Top Rank Boxing confirmed to ESPN’s Mike Coppinger.

Davis, a 2020 Olympic silver medalist, was set to fight former lightweight champion Jose Pedraza on Dec. 9 as he continues his climb toward championship contention.

On Oct. 14, Davis defeated Nahir Albright via majority decision. Now, the decision has been overturned to a no-decision.

Top Rank will try to reschedule the fight for early 2024 as the lightweight division begins to open up following undisputed champion Devin Haney’s decision to challenge Regis Prograis for the WBC Super Lightweight Championship, resulting in becoming the WBC’s champion in recess at lightweight.
