Kelela has announced a new remix counterpart to her second album, February’s Raven. Karen Nyame KG’s remix of “Contact” arrives as the first preview of Rave:N, the Remixes with a video short directed by Yasser Abubeker. Check out “Contact (Karen Nyame KG Remix)” with the project’s cover art below.

In a statement about Rave:N, which does not yet have a release date, Kelela described how remixes figure into her songwriting. “Sometimes I feel like I make original tracks just to experience the remix…I think about how something will be interpolated while I’m writing and recording,” she wrote, adding that the “Contact” update is “hitting supreme levels of sexy—makes me wanna seduce someone on the dance floor.”

Kelela announced the follow-up to 2017’s Take Me Apart late last year, performing “Enough for Love” on The Tonight Show the week of Raven’s release. In February, she covered Sade’s “Like a Tattoo” for an Amazon Music series commemorating Black History Month.
