On “Can’t Go Back, Baby,” a track from his new album, Something to Give Each Other, Troye Sivan samples Jessica Pratt’s On Your Own Love Again single “Back, Baby.” “I always thought that ‘Back, Baby’ was a really special song,” the Australian singer recently told The Guardian. “Her voice is kind of timeless—I feel like it could have existed forever.”

When reached today by Pitchfork, Pratt remarked, “‘Back, Baby’ was recorded to a cassette tape in a tiny bedroom 10 years ago, so it was really unexpected to get a request from him. Like everybody else, I find Troye to be irresistible.”

Oscar Görres produced Troye Sivan’s “Can’t Go Back, Baby.” Pratt, Görres, and Sivan, as well as Nick Ward and Leland, are the track’s official songwriters.
