Jamie Foxx Is Doing Great, Playing Pickleball
[ad_1]
Apparently, reports of Jamie Foxx’s health emergency have been greatly exaggerated.
On April 13, word broke that Foxx had been hospitalized due to an undisclosed “medical complication.” As of May 3, he was still in the hospital—though the Oscar winner assured fans that he had heard their well wishes, writing “Appreciate all the love!!! Feeling blessed” on his Instagram page. Days ago, Radar Online ran a post claiming that Foxx’s closest friends and family were “hoping for the best” but “preparing for the worst,” and saying that he had not yet been discharged.
But according to Foxx’s daughter Corinne Foxx, we shouldn’t believe everything we read. “Update from the family: “Sad to see how the media runs wild. My dad has been out of the hospital for weeks, recuperating,” she wrote Friday on her Instagram story. “In fact, he was playing pickleball yesterday! Thanks for everyone’s prayers and support! We have an exciting work announcement coming next week too!”
Foxx had a particularly full dance card before he was taken to the hospital. At the time of his still unelaborated upon medical incident, he was in Atlanta shooting the Netflix film Back in Action alongside his Annie costar Cameron Diaz. Foxx was also about to shoot the sixth season of his Fox game show Beat Shazam (he’s been temporarily replaced by Nick Cannon), and has nearly a dozen additional projects in the works, according to IMDB, including a biographical limited series about Mike Tyson in which he will play the famed boxer. He can next be seen in Netflix’s They Cloned Tyrone, opposite John Boyega and Teyonah Parris, out June 14.
