Hyatt-Linked MGM Accounts Can’t Use Mobile Check-In

MGM and Hyatt are parting ways, with their partnership completely dissolving as of September 30, 2023. MGM will then turn to Marriott Bonvoy as a partner going forward.

As the Hyatt partnership winds down, MGM has made introduced a new limitation that it’s not noted anywhere on their site as far as I know. If your MGM account is linked to World of Hyatt, then you can no longer use mobile check-in for your stays.

This change was probably introduced sometime over the last two days. If you have an MGM stay booked, and your account is linked to Hyatt, then you will not see the check-in option in the app.

This has also been confirmed by an MGM representative who simply said that “Hyatt linked MGM accounts are unable to check-in via the mobile app.”
