Horse hops into Florida swimming pool

PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – A horse took a dip in a Florida swimming pool Tuesday in Pasco County.

According to Pasco County Fire Rescue, firefighters were called around 5:30 p.m. to find the horse stuck in a swimming pool.

Officials say the horse hopped into the pool after being spooked by another horse.

Rescuers tried to keep the animal calm and called for assistance.

Using large animal equipment, the rescuers jumped into the pool and secured a harness to the horse.

It was carefully lifted to safety. The fire department states the horse is in good condition.
