Hornets 2K ratings, betting odds, and other news – At The Hive
[ad_1]
No big news is happening and I’m bad about noticing the little pieces of news that trickle out as they happen, so we’re just gonna keep doing these quick hit consolidations of Charlotte Hornets news as it comes out. To me that’s cooler than farming for clicks with vague headlines over 50 word posts. But different strokes for different folks I guess.
JT THor is back in the NBA part time
Former Hornets second round pick and perpetual “could be good” player JT Thor has signed a two way deal with the Cavaliers. He’ll spend most of next season with the Canton Charge in the G League but will probably make a few cameos with the Cavs throughout the season.
The Hornets have the worst odds to win the NBA Finals
According to ESPN Bet, the Hornets are +100000 to win the title this year. That means if you bet $100, you win $100,000 if the Hornets end the season as champions. That’s tied for the worst odds with the Pistons, Nets, Trail Blazers, Jazz, and Wizards. If healthy, the Hornets should be the best of that crop of teams, and that’s corroborated by the team’s win total being set around 29.5, depending on where you look. That’s the best of that group and in line with the Bulls and Raptors.
Speaking of not believing the Hornets, their 2K ratings are bad too
NBA 2K25 comes out in a couple of weeks and the ratings are out online for everyone to see and banter about. LaMelo Ball is the best Hornet with an 88 overall, followed by Brandon Miller (81), Miles Bridges (81), and Mark Williams (80). The rest of the Hornets are as follows:
- Nick Richards – 78
- Tre Mann – 77
- Josh Green -77
- Grant Williams – 77
- Cody Martin – 76
- Vasilije Micic – 75
- Seth Curry – 74
- Nick Smith Jr. – 73
- Taj Gibson – 73
- Tidjane Salaun – 71
- Moussa Diabate – 70
- KJ Simpson – 69
As for their standing in the NBA, the top three Hornets are in the top 100 in the NBA–LaMelo (36), Miller (84), Bridges (91).
As a team, the Hornets are an 80 overall. Only the Nets (78) are worse. The Hornets are tied with the same teams mentioned above in the championship odds and win totals.
