The sun was shining Sunday as a crowd gathered along the Merrimack River in Lawrence for the 14th annual Great Stone Dam Classic.
The event featured canoe, kayak and stand-up paddleboard races, beginning and ending at the Abe Bashara Boathouse.
Junior ROTC students from Lawrence High School served as race volunteers, and there was a cookout for the participants.
