Lilian’s Popsicle Stand is back for the fourth year in a row.This year, she has an even bigger goal of raising $3,000, all of which will be raised to support people with stage 4 breast cancer.Lilian Moore, 11, began taking donations in exchange for popsicles when she was eight.She says that in the beginning, she hoped to receive a Disney souvenir, but as she grew older, her goals changed.Her mom, Tiffani Moore, was diagnosed with stage four breast cancer when Lilian was 18 months old.She wasn’t at risk for anything but felt a large lump in her breast, the size of her fist.This is what fueled and continues to fuel Lilian today, being able to support her mom and other patients the best way she can.”I feel really happy that I can be there for her and help her, but sometimes it makes me feel sad that, you know, that she’ll never be fully cured,” Lilian said. “But I want to help the best I can.”Lilian’s mom says that Lilian is her motivation to keep going.”I don’t know many 11-year-olds, let alone an 8-year-old, because that’s when she started doing this, that would decide, ‘You know what? I want it to raise money, and I’m not keeping it for myself. I want to raise it for a bigger cause.’ So I think it’s absolutely amazing that she is choosing to donate to METAvivor,” Tiffani said.Lilian’s donations will go to METAvivor, a stage four breast cancer research institute.To donate online, click here.
