Fuquay-Varina man arrested for secretly recording woman in restroom

A man was arrested Monday and charged with secretly recording a woman in a restroom, according to the Wake County Sheriff’s Office.

Colten Lee Redmond, 28, of Fuquay-Varina, has been charged with one count of felony secret peeping.

Deputies responded to a report of unlawful surveillance on Saturday at a business located in the 5400 block of Fayetteville Road near Raleigh.

The sheriff’s office said the suspect had secretly recorded the victim while she was using the restroom.

After Redmond’s arrest, authorities took him to the Wake County Detention Center. He is being held on a $1,000 bond.

The investigation is ongoing.
