Firefighters battle Los Gatos vegetation fire Wednesday

(KRON) — Crews are responding Wednesday morning to a vegetation fire reported in Los Gatos, according to the Santa Clara County Fire Department. The two-alarm fire is located in the 16500 block of Matilija Drive.

Santa Clara County firefighters are responding with the Cal Fire Santa Clara Unit en route, officials said at 10:13 a.m. By 10:33 a.m., SCCFD said that forward progress has been stopped.

The fire grew to 1 acre before being contained, fire officials said.

250-acre prescribed burn planned for San Mateo County coast

There have been no reported injuries, SCCFD said. No structures were damaged.
