CLEVELAND (WJW) — An investigation is ongoing after a vacant house went up in flames on Cleveland’s east side Saturday night.

Firefighters were called to a home at the 1700 block of East 70th Street just before 11 p.m. for reports of a fire.

As seen in the video above, the two and a half story house sustained extensive damage but no one was reportedly inside at the time of the fire.

However, Cleveland Division of Fire reported one of their firefighters was injured while battling the flames, and had to be take to the hospital for treatment on their ankle. They have since been released.

It’s still not clear how the blaze started, Cleveland Department of Fire said, but the damages are worth at least $50,000.
