Quick Notes:
- Temps around 100° the rest of the week and this weekend
- Still hot and still dry
- Changes possible next week
Still hot, but it is better!
DFW broke a streak of 8 days in a row with triple digit heat on Wednesday. Thanks to a weak cold front moving into the area, highs were only in the upper 90s.
Humidity was also a touch lower, which will cause Thursday morning to be comfy for this time of year for most. Some places east/northeast of DFW could even dip into the low 70s or upper 60s.
Unfortunately, those comfy temps won’t last long with plenty of heat and humidity Thursday afternoon. Highs will be in the 90s to above 100°. Humidity will also increase as well and afternoon heat index values of 105° to 110° are possible.
A Heat Advisory is back in effect for DFW and the surrounding area. An Excessive Heat Warning is in effect for far western North Texas as actual temps or heat index values could top 110°.

Friday and through the weekend will be much of the same with afternoon highs at or around 100° and heat index values above that. Simply, it’ll be hot but not the worst by any means.
