Deputies: Man arrested after firing shots at truck driver during Marion County road rage shooting

The Marion County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a Virginia truck driver after firing shots at another vehicle during a road rage shooting in Ocala last month. Deputies said the 44-year-old, Dylan Nissan Belleastin, was arrested for shooting a missile into a vehicle, aggravated assault, criminal mischief and displaying a firearm.According to the MCSO, deputies responded to a reported road rage incident located at 7791 NW 47th Ave., Ocala, on March 3.The report stated that Belleastin threw a water bottle to a truck driving southbound on Interstate 75 at the time of the incident.That’s when the victim pulled over to confront Belleastin, but decided to get back into the car and drive away.Belleastin decided to follow the victim, pulled alongside the driver and fired several gunshots. He then drove away and continued southbound on I-75. Deputies were able to locate Belleastin and retrieved dash camera footage from Belleastin’s semitrailer cab.In the footage, deputies said it was clearly depicted when Belleastin shot at the victim two different times. He also pulled a second handgun without firing.MCSO deputies, alongside United States Marshal Service agents, located Belleastin in Ocala, where he was arrested on March 6.
