DENVER (KDVR) — More sunshine is on the way Saturday as temperatures will be closer to average.
The Pinpoint Weather team is also tracking a cold front coming in Sunday which will bring cooler temperatures and storm chances to wrap up the holiday weekend.
Weather today: Warm and dry
Saturday will start with plenty of sunshine followed by some passing late-day clouds. It will be breezy in the afternoon with winds from the northeast.
Temperatures will be warmer compared to the last few days, with afternoon highs in the upper 80s to near 90 degrees for metro Denver — close to the average high of 89 degrees at this time of year.
Weather tonight: Cool, clear
The shift in winds in the afternoon will cool things down overnight, lows will drop into the middle to lower 50s under partly cloudy skies.

There is a very slight chance of an isolated shower or storm mainly after 9 p.m. but most of us will be dry.
Looking ahead: Sunday storms, summer heat
The Pinpoint Weather team is tracking a cold front for Sunday with much cooler temperatures in the low to middle 70s. There is also a chance for some needed moisture in the form of afternoon and evening scattered showers and thunderstorms.

There will be isolated showers and thunderstorms possible from Monday through Wednesday. The western foothills and southern areas over the Palmer Divide will have the best shot at rain.

Otherwise, it looks mainly dry with some summer heat by the end of the week.
