DENVER (KDVR) — Rain chances continue for Denver’s weather as the weekend wraps up, but rain chances will start to diminish by the middle of the week.

Weather today: Scattered afternoon showers

Sunday will start off with increasing clouds ahead of a few rain and thunderstorm chances by the afternoon and evening. Highs will reach the upper 80s, which is a few degrees above normal for this time of year.

Weather tonight: Showers fizzle out, mostly cloudy

Showers will likely fizzle out before midnight as overnight low temperatures sink back down into the upper 50s and lower 60s. Look for winds out of the southwest anywhere from 5 to 10 mph with gusts up to 20 mph possible.

Looking ahead: Drying out

Monday will bring more isolated chances for showers and storms by the afternoon with highs reaching the mid to upper 80s.

Temperatures will be seasonal on Tuesday, reaching the mid-80s ahead of a warm and sunny Wednesday. A cold front will move through on Thursday, dropping high temperatures to the lower 80s, then more seasonal temperatures in the mid-80s return Friday and Saturday.
