Deloitte Switzerland is delighted to announce that two new partners, Ilan Rom and Petrit Ismajli, will join its Financial Services Tax team on 1 December. This intake marks the continued strategic expansion of Deloitte`s tax-related services and capabilities for clients across the banking, insurance and investment management sectors.

Ilan Rom brings a wealth of experience in insurance and re-insurance, having worked in the industry for nearly 20 years and comes from one of the largest companies in the sector. Ilan is a Swiss tax expert with profound experience and expert knowledge in the area of Insurance/Reinsurance, Treasury, Asset Management, Corporate Restructuring, M&A, VAT, Transfer Pricing and Tax Reporting. He has an excellent network with the Swiss FSI industry and the tax authorities. Ilan will focus on building up our Insurance Tax practice and further expanding our capabilities across the FSI sub-sectors.

Petrit Ismajli brings over 15 years of tax-related experience in the banking industry to the table. He joins Deloitte coming from another Big 4 company where he led the customer tax, operational tax, and indirect tax teams. Before that, Petrit was the Head of Tax at the Swiss Bankers Association and gained significant insights into the banking industry and has high market visibility. Petrit will focus on growing Deloitte’s Swiss Tax Banking practice and further scaling the Tax Transparency practice.

Financial services is Deloitte`s largest sector and represented CHF 172.7m in turnover for the firm in the last financial year.

Our financial services tax practice, in turn, has experienced substantial growth and demand over the last few years.

With our two new strategic hires and the requisite teams, Deloitte is positioned even more strongly now to serve clients across Switzerland`s banking, insurance and investment management markets.
