DC Police investigating shooting involving officers in Southeast

WASHINGTON — DC Police is investigating a shooting involving officers in Southeast D.C. on Friday night.

The police department first tweeted about the shooting at 6:54 p.m. which happened in the 1400 block of Bangor Street, SE.

Few details are known. WUSA9 has a crew headed to the scene.

The following road closures are in place:

• 1400 Block of Bangor St btw Morris Rd & Pomeroy Rd SE
• 1300 -1400 Blocks of Morris Rd btw Mt. View Pl & Hunter Pl SE
• Intersection of 14th St at High & Cedar Sts SE

Drivers should avoid the area. The police department has notified WMATA to reroute bus services along Morris Road Southeast.
