DC Police investigating shooting involving officers in Southeast

WASHINGTON — DC Police is investigating a shooting involving officers in Southeast D.C. on Friday night.
The police department first tweeted about the shooting at 6:54 p.m. which happened in the 1400 block of Bangor Street, SE.
Few details are known. WUSA9 has a crew headed to the scene.
The following road closures are in place:
- 1400 Block of Bangor St btw Morris Rd & Pomeroy Rd SE
- 1300 -1400 Blocks of Morris Rd btw Mt. View Pl & Hunter Pl SE
- Intersection of 14th St at High & Cedar Sts SE
Drivers should avoid the area. The police department has notified WMATA to reroute bus services along Morris Road Southeast.

Police have arrested two men less than 24 hours after a 2-year-old boy was killed and his mother wounded in a shooting in Langley Park.
