- After giving a rousing rally in Atlanta, President Biden went to New York City today to appear outside the Stonewall Inn in Greenwich Village, acknowledging the riots that gave birth to the LGBTQ civil rights movement. Biden attended the opening of the new Stonewall National Monument Visitor Center, and said in a post on Xitter, “55 years ago at the Stonewall Inn in New York, brave LGBTQI+ individuals did just that and formed a movement that would transform our nation.” [CBS News]
